Who is Kilcodo?

I am a self employed mom and artist living in the southeastern part of the United States! I have been making custom-order fursuits since 2008. I love my job, and it is a pleasure for me to make customized, durable wearable art for my clients so they have enjoy their costumes for many years to come. I aim to make my clients dreams come true and provide transparent, real-time customer service in the process.

How are Fursuits Made?

All suits are handmade from scratch - I don't use premade foam molds and I always carve my costume heads by hand. All heads are built on a soft balaclava base. I use acrylic fiber fake fur, upholstery foam, cast resin, vinyl, fleece, airbrushing, and a variety of other techniques and materials in my work.

How Do I Order?

To order, commissions must be OPEN. A form will become available on the Get A Quote! page.

You will need:
- Accurate Reference Art of your Character
- Measurements and/or a Duct Tape Dummy of your Body

- To Be Over the Age of Eighteen

Can I purchase small orders like tails or paws?
Yes! I sell custom color tails and paws on my Etsy shop. You can also e-mail me to order small custom orders. I can make tails, feet paws, hand paws, and body suits to order.
Do you ship costumes world wide?
Yes, shipping is available world-wide and the cost varies depending on the weight of your order. I typically use FedEx Ground for domestic orders in the United States and USPS for international orders.
Is there a warranty on fursuits?
There is a 2 year warranty on all custom-made fursuits excluding Etsy orders. This covers retouching, sewing, replacement of claws/teeth/eyes caused by normal wear and tear. Modified suits void the warranty (apart from small repairs done by the owner). Owner pays shipping to/from studio.

Where can I find updates?
If you have purchased a costume from me, you will receive real-time updates with work in progress pictures via email.

What measurements do you need?
To make a custom-fit suit, I will need:
- Head circumference across brow (in inches)
- U.S. Shoe Size
- A hand trace of your hand (if choosing 5-finger paws)
- A duct tape dummy of your body (tutorial here)
How do I care for a fursuit?
All parts except the head can be washed on a gentle, cold cycle without an agitator or washed by hand, then must be air dried without heat in a tumble dryer or with a fan until fully dry. A slicker brush is recommended to brush your costume to keep it looking pretty. The inside of the head can be deodorized with a diluted alcohol spray, but please avoid the eyes and airbrushing on the suit when doing so. Always air out your suit well before storing after wear.
